1. Find Your IMSA ID: Go to IMSA's search page and search using ONLY your first initial and last name. DO NOT include your email or company in the search. π Find My ID
2. Verify Your Information: Make sure the email address listed is current and save your IMSA ID β you'll need it. If your email needs to be updated, just let me know and I'll get it taken care of for you. π
3. Reset Your Password: Go to IMSA's Login page: π

Technology Requirements
- A functioning camera is required.
- A device with an integrated camera is strongly recommended. External cameras often cause problems.
- DO NOT use Firefox β it is not supported.
- Chrome is preferred. Edge and Safari are also supported.

Virtual Students
- Programs begin at 8:30 AM Eastern Time, unless otherwise noted.
- Virtual programs use Google Meet.
- The seminar link activates approximately 10β15 minutes before class.
- If your meeting link doesn't work, copy and paste it as plain text directly into your browser's address bar.
In-Person Students
- Please bring your own device for testing when possible.
- Loaner laptops and tablets are available if needed.
- Classrooms are located in the business park area to the right.
- Please park politely β avoid parking directly in front of another business's main entrance.

You MUST complete and submit the Renewal Application located in the My Certificates section of your IMSA profile.
If you do not submit the application, IMSA will NOT renew your certification β even if you attended the renewal program and we paid the renewal fee.
We provide the instructions. We provide the tutorial. We remind you in class. We even put a giant warning on the Help Desk page. π
At some point, we have to hand the baton to you. π

PLEASE, for the love of all things, READ YOUR INSTRUCTIONS IN THEIR ENTIRETY BEFORE emailing or texting us. π
Note: Please complete these steps by the end of your first day. Don't panic if you get stuck β we'll also go over everything in class. π
β οΈ Work Zone Check β REQUIRED FOR ALL NEW LEVEL 1 CERTIFICATIONS
All new Level 1 certifications require an active IMSA Work Zone certification or approved Work Zone equivalent (FDOT Intermediate or higher Temporary Traffic Control or ATSSA Traffic Control Technician or higher).
If you are submitting a non-IMSA Work Zone equivalent, it must be uploaded to your IMSA profile by going to:

Upload a PDF version of your certificate to help ensure it uploads properly.
1. Complete Your Certificate Application
In the My Programs section of your IMSA profile, use the Click Here to Add a New Certification Application button.
- Date of Exam
- Exam Type: Program for new certifications, Retake for retakes, and Challenge is rarely used.
- Employment History: Just the basics please β not a whole rΓ©sumΓ©. π
Don't forget to check the Declaration and Release box!
2. MISSING INFORMATION BUTTON
If you're attending more than one program, please complete a separate application for each program. If you don't, you will receive a Missing Information button.
If you see the Missing Information button, look directly underneath it. You will see a notice explaining what the system thinks is missing.
Complete the application it's asking you for. It doesn't hurt anything to have another application in the system, and it must be completed to access the exam site.
3. Review the Announcements on Your Exam Home Page
IMSA posts all rules, regulations, and announcements on your Exam Home page. It's your responsibility to review all of that information before you begin your exam.
IMSA uses a computerized proctoring system during your exam. Please follow all prompts and instructions provided through the exam system.
Make sure your camera is functioning and that you have completed all required setup before beginning.
4. After Your Exam
π Please do not contact the IMSA International office by phone or email regarding your exam results.
For exam-related inquiries, please contact your provider. Your provider (EVENTUALLY π) receives all exam reports and can provide further assistance.
Exam results are NOT immediate and typically take 2β8 weeks.
Any requests or additional information needed by IMSA will appear in the Notes column.
For example, Work Zone Prerequisite Not Met means you need to upload your FDOT TTC or ATSSA TTC certificate, or obtain an IMSA Work Zone certification.

You are a Retest Student if you previously attempted an IMSA exam and are returning to take the exam again.
You DO NOT need to complete all of the steps required for a brand-new Exam Student again.
Your primary job is to make sure you can access your profile and exam, complete your retest, and then tell IMSA that you're finished. π

How do I log in to my IMSA Profile?
If you haven't logged in to your IMSA profile since June 1, 2026, use IMSA's Find My ID page first.
Search using ONLY your first initial and last name β do not include your email or company.

How do I find my IMSA ID?
Use IMSA's Find My ID page and search using ONLY your first initial and last name. Do not include your email or company.

How do I reset my IMSA password?
Go to the IMSA Login page and select Forgot Password. IMSA will email a password-reset link to the email address associated with your profile.

How do I update my email, address, phone, or company info?
Updating your information with About Phase Academy or IMSA can be done with an email to us.

How do I access my course after I register?
Your course access information is emailed to you shortly after registration.
If you cannot locate the email, check your Spam, Junk, or Promotions folders and search your inbox for About Phase Academy or the course title.
If you still cannot find it, contact us and we can resend your access details. π
Are the courses self-paced?
No. None of our programs are self-paced. All programs follow scheduled instruction, deadlines, and structured modules.
What does βHybridβ mean on the IMSA website?
Hybrid is a mix of attendance types running concurrently. We have students in the classroom and attending virtually via Google Meet.
π§ͺ Exams & Proctoring
How long do I have access to my IMSA exam?
Students have a 12-hour access window on the second day of the program, from 12:00 PM to midnight.
Once you select Start, you have 3 hours to complete the exam.
Are IMSA exams open book?
No. IMSA exams are closed-book.
- No notes or manuals.
- No outside materials or extra screens.
- No outside assistance.
Is the exam proctored?
IMSA uses a computerized proctoring system for online exams.
Students should follow all prompts and instructions provided through the exam system, make sure their camera is functioning, and complete all required setup before beginning.
Students should also review all rules, regulations, and announcements posted on their Exam Home page before beginning the exam.
What should I know about the Integrity Advocate online exam rules?
IMSA posts the current exam rules, regulations, and announcements on the Exam Home page. It is the student's responsibility to review that information before beginning the exam.
Students should use a functioning camera. An integrated camera is strongly recommended because external cameras can cause problems.

π Renewals & Credits
Which programs can be used for renewals?
Completing training directly related to the certification(s) being renewed is the best way to earn renewal hours.
You can attend any level within your given certification field and use those applicable hours toward renewal.
For instance, someone with a Signal Inspector or Signal Technician certification of ANY level can attend any of the following programs and use those hours toward renewal:
- APA Signals 101
- APA Signal Inspector 101
- IMSA Traffic Signal Technician 1
- IMSA Traffic Signal Technician 2 Field
- IMSA Traffic Signal Technician 3 Field
- IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector
No exam is required; just attend for the required hours and submit the applicable paperwork. π
Do renewal students need to take an exam?
No. Renewal students do not take an exam and do not upload a Work Zone equivalent.
Renewal students DO need to complete and submit the Renewal Application in the My Certificates section of their IMSA profile.
